The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has launched a joint examination of the registration file for the Russian vaccine “Sputnik V”, RIA Novosti reports quoting Russian Direct Investment Fund. The agency will test the vaccine for compliance with EU safety and quality standards.

“The Russian Direct Investment Fund announces the launch of a joint examination by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) Committee for Medicinal Products for COVID-19 for the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine registration dossier,” the agency said in a statement.
