At the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Greco-Roman wrestler Artur Aleksanyan, representing Armenia in the 97 kg weight category, defeated his Iranian opponent in the semifinals with a score of 4: 1 and reached the final.

Aleksanyan seemed to get injured during the match, but after the intervention of the doctors he continued the fight and celebrated a confident victory over the Iranian wrestler.

On August 3, he will fight in the final with the representative of Russia Musa Evlo, fighting for the title of Olympic champion.
