Armenia wins its first Olympic medal in Tokyo

Athlete Artur Davtyan became a bronze medalist of the 32nd Summer Olympic Games, winning the first medal for Armenia in these games.
In the vault final, Davtyan scored 14,733 points (first jump – 14,800 points, second – 14,666), recording the third result. South Korean Xin Jehuan (14,783 points) won the title of Olympic champion, and Denis Ablyazin (14,783 points) won the silver medal. Thus, 41 years later, Armenia has a prize in gymnastics at the Olympic Games. Eduard Azaryan became a champion at the 1980 Moscow Olympics.
