The Investigative Committee of Armenia today arrested Garnik Isagulyan, the leader of the National Security party, the Committee spokesman Vardan Tadevosyan told Factor.am.
Isagulyan was charged with false criminal report. According to the Investigative Committee statement, at the press conference on September 20, 2021, Isagulyan deliberately voiced false information that Armenia’s ambassador to Ukraine was allegedly recruited by Turkish and Azerbaijani special services, held talks with the Azerbaijani ambassador to Ukraine to arrange a meeting between Armenian Prime Minister and the Turkish President in Batumi to ask for money as there is no money in the Armenian budget and the government cannot pay pensions.
Isagulyan is accused of committing other crimes as well.
