02.12.2021 | 20:41The EU called on the parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to maintain the ceasefire. The statement came from EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell at a meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council.
“We call on both sides to maintain the ceasefire. The EU supports and is ready to work for peace in the OSCE Minsk Group,” said Borrell.
He also said that the atmosphere in the OSCE is becoming more and more controversial and confrontational.
“I am concerned about the situation in Crimea in Ukraine, as well as the accumulation of military forces on the borders of Ukraine. The EU expresses its support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, recognizing its internationally recognized borders,” he said.
Referring to Belarus, Borrell said that fundamental human rights continue to be violated here.
