Starting December 1, unvaccinated persons must submit the answer to the PCR test to the employer at intervals of seven days, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan told reporters today.

“A new restriction will apply from December 1. The draft amendment to my order will already be put into circulation today, from now on a PCR test should be submitted to the employer once in every seven days,” Avanesyan said.

Some 2,330 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered yesterday, with 41 deaths, Avanesyan told the cabinet meeting today. She said the extension of school holidays and the conducting online classes at universities have shown some positive trends.

“We have a decrease in morbidity, which will be seen in the next week’s numbers,” she said. She added there is a decrease in the number of people waiting for hospitalization. As for vaccinations, she said that 852,355 citizens have been vaccinated in Armenia.

“I must say that after receiving the Moderna vaccine, we made a change in the order and children over 12 years old have the opportunity to receive the vaccine, it is done with the written consent of the parents, there is interest, about 50 children have already been vaccinated,” Avanesyan said. She added that only 97 out of more than 3000 hospitalized people have been vaccinated.
