An inquiry commission has been set up in parliament to investigate how the funds transferred by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund to the state budget were spent
Hayk Mamijanyan, an I Have Honor faction MP said that a nationwide fundraiser was held during the war, and later it turned out that about 52 billion had been transferred to the state budget.
“This public fundraiser was notable for the fact that the small donations made up a very large share, in fact, it received a puzzling response from all our friends,” he said. According to the MP, the establishment of the commission is aimed at dispersing the news hanging in the air, according to which these sums transferred to the state budget were spent inefficiently. Mamijanyan stressed that the publication of the report and audit results is not posted on the foundation’s website.
