Turkish, Azerbaijani presidents open airport in occupied Varanda

26.10.2021 | 16:22Turkish President Erdoan has arrived in the occupied Varanda (Fizuli) of Artsakh on a working visit. The Turkish President’s plane landed at the newly built Varanda Airport, where Erdogan was met by Azerbaijani President Aliyev. They cut the red ribbon and officially opened the airport.
Erdogan is accompanied by Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, Foreign Minister Mlut Cavusoglu, Minister of Environment and Urban Development Murat Kurum, and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu. In the occupied Kovsakan of Artsakh, Aliyev and Erdogan will take part in the foundation of the “Smart Agropark”, which will be built with the support of Turkey. During the visit, all aspects of bilateral relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan will be discussed and steps to deepen cooperation will be discussed. The parties will exchange views on current regional and international issues.
