300 citizens waiting for hospitalization – deputy minister of health

About 300 citizens are waiting for hospitalization in their turn, Deputy Minister of Health Gevorg Simonyan wrote on his Facebook page.
Romella Abovyan, head of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health’s National Center for Disease Control and Prevention said today that the hospitals are overloaded. “We are running out of beds․ We are approaching the threshold of the “burning red zone.” We have a 50% increase in cases, the reproductive rate of the infection is higher, which speaks of the fact that the infection is spreading very fast,” said Abovyan.
She added that the coronavirus has become younger and, mainly, the 30- to 50-year-olds are more targeted. Cases have increased among children, there are minors who need to be hospitalized and are currently receiving treatment.
