Georgian PM says new platform between Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan necessary

11.10.2021 | 17:12It is necessary to set up a new regional platform for closer cooperation between Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili said following his visit to Armenia, Georgia Online reported.
Gharibashvili considered his visit to Armenia a success, emphasizing Georgia’s important role in the mediation process in the region.
“I had a very successful visit to Armenia. My initiative is that we start cooperation in the region, create a new platform within which we, the three countries, will start close cooperation. Georgia has a significant role to play in this process,” he said.
Gharibashvili underscored that Georgia will henceforth play an active mediation role between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
