Out of 14,000 patients infected with coronavirus, only 176 are those vaccinated – Health minister

“In fulfilling its responsibilities to the citizens, the government fully covers the costs of treating the citizens with coronavirus infection. We would be happy if these funds were directed to meet other needs, to treat other diseases, because if we carry out the vaccination process enough, we should not need to spend so much money,” Armenian Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan said today, presenting the draft decision of the Government.
She said 20 medical organizations have already been involved in the treatment of patients with coronavirus.
“In total, 2,226 beds are currently taken. Of the more than 14,000 active cases currently available, we have only 176 people in need of hospital treatment while still vaccinated. This shows that vaccinations prevent the severe, extremely severe course of the disease, and there is no burden of hospitalization on the healthcare system,” she added.
