Armenian Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan met with newly appointed Commander of the Russian Peacekeeping Forces in Artsakh, Maj Gen Mikhail Kosobokov, and the Commander of the 102nd Russian Military Base in Armenia, Col Dmitry Ovcharov as well as Russian Defense Attaché Col Igor Shcherbakov.

Karapetyan praised the efforts of Russia aimed at stabilizing the military-political situation in the region, as well as the process and effectiveness of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Artsakh. The sides also exchanged views on regional security issues.
