11.08.2021 | 19:01The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has issued a statement accusing Armenia of violating the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, once again threatening and presenting demands to the Russian peacekeepers stationed in Artsakh.
The withdrawal of the Armenian Armed Forces from the “territory of Azerbaijan”, where the Russian peacekeeping forces are temporarily stationed, is not fully ensured, according to the trilateral statement of the President of Azerbaijan, the President of the Russian Federation and the Prime Minister of Armenia on November 10, 2020. In recent days, Armenia has been grossly violating the tripartite statement and moving its armed forces to the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed, the statement says.
Azerbaijan also quotes the statement of the Armenian Minister of Defense to prevent any encroachment of Azerbaijan on Armenia by force. “The Azerbaijani army will take adequate measures.Russian peacekeepers must end the deployment of the Armenian Armed Forces in the territory of Azerbaijan at their deployment sites,” the statement goes on saying.
In fact, with this statement, Azerbaijan admits that it has violated the ceasefire and the trilateral statement, and in recent days has resorted to various provocations in Artsakh. In particular, today, at 08:29 and 08:58, the enemy used strike drones in the direction of the positions of the Defense Army. The Armenian side did not suffer any losses. On August 9, the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire in the Shosh-Mkhitarashen section, using anti-tank grenade launchers in addition to firearms, firing 3 projectiles in the direction of the Armenian positions.
