Electricity prices to rise by 4.7 per cent

29.12.2021 | 18:01The weighted average electricity tariff in Armenia will increase by 4.7 drams (about 1 cent) from February 1, 2022. For socially vulnerable families, however, the current tariffs will be maintained, the Public Services Regulatory Commission has said.
Thus, for the socially vulnerable, who make up 11% of the subscribers, the tariffs will remain unchanged, and for the residents with a monthly consumption of up to 200 kWh, who make up 55% of the subscribers, the tariff will increase by 1.5 AMD / kWh. Tariffs for those consuming 201-400 kWh per month, which make up 25% of the resident subscribers, will increase by 3.5 drams / kWh, and for other consumers it is proposed to increase the tariff by 5.5 drams / kWh.
