Such data is provided by the country’s Ministry of Health, “Komsomolskaya Pravda” reports. The accident took place in the province of Sohag, south of Cairo. Three wagons overturned as a result of the accident. According to the Ministry of Health, 36 ambulances arrived at the scene, which transported the injured to nearby hospitals. Egypt’s Prosecutor General’s Office has ordered an investigation into the incident, and Egyptian Minister of Transport Kamel al-Wazir has ordered the arrest of the drivers of the two trains.
