CIS leaders to gather for informal meeting in St. Petersburg

An informal summit of CIS leaders, which is being prepared for December 28 in St. Petersburg, will be held not online, but face-to-face, Russian President’s Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said, TASS reported.
“Yes, preparations are underway for a personal meeting of the leaders,” Peskov said.
Earlier, CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebed had told reporters that a new meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State will be held on October 14, 2022 in the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur Sultan. He did not rule out the possibility of an informal meeting of the leaders before that.
