“Azerbaijan says, let me give you some money, and then I will transport anything (weapons, etc.) to Turkey, to Nakhichevan. Not only Armenia is against this, but also Russia. The newly designed Lachin corridor should be a new corridor, not under the control of Armenia, but under the control of Russia. And here is the problem. A new road will be built. Russia will not oppose the existence of the corridor, provided that it is under its control,” said Hakobyan.

The Lachin and Zangezur corridors cannot have the same status.

“It is unknown why the Armenian diplomacy does not voice that Nakhichevan is not an enclave, it has been recognized by Turkey and Iran. Artsakh has no border with any third state,” said Hakobyan.

He said that Turkey and Azerbaijan see that Armenia, in fact, is left alone, has no ally, is weak, they try to impose another capitulation document on Armenia. Hakobyan emphasizes that by the logic, as Turks and Azeris understand it, there is no article about the corridor in any document. According to Hakobyan, the topic of the corridor should be a red line for Armenia, Armenia should agree to the reopening of roads and railways, but it should not agree with the idea of ​​the corridor, everything should be done so that it is not fixed in any document.

“Providing a corridor will endanger not only Zangezur, but the whole of Armenia,” Hakobyan stressed.
