Former Kazakh president: Azerbaijan might become EEU observer state

10.12.2021 | 16:20Speaking at the video meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, its chairman Nursultan Nazarbayev, former Kazakhstan president, said Azerbaijan might become an EEU observer state.
“I wholeheartedly welcome the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan after many years of disagreements, I think we all think so. At the same time, as we have said before, I consider it possible to hold talks with the Republic of Azerbaijan so that it becomes an EEU observer,” Nazarbay said.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is also participating in the meeting.
The EEU member states include Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
