As inscribed in the government’s program, Armenia has always been ready to normalize relations with Turkey without preconditions, Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Vahan Hunanyan told Factor TV, answering the question whether steps are being taken now to establish relations with Turkey.
“A number of international partners, including our ally Russia, have said that they are ready to support the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations. “During the discussions with our Russian partners, we informed that we are ready to normalize relations without preconditions,” Hunanyan said. He added that if the process goes ahead, the public will be informed about the developments. Hunanyan, at the same time, stressed that no negotiation process is underway with Turkey at the moment.
