Former president Sargsyan may be charged in corruption-related criminal case

Former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan may be indicted in a another criminal case, his lawyer Amram Makinyan has said.
“I have just received a notification from the head of the Anti-Corruption Committee, Musheghyan, that Serzh Sargsyan is summoned for interrogation as an accused. And the irony is that after Silva’s testimony 3.5 half years ago, today they “decided” that she had given a bribe to Serzh Sargsyan, in the same case where Serzh Sargsyan was interrogated as a witness,” her wrote in a Facebook post.
The person named in the post is most likely businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan, on whose testimony a number of officials have been charged with various crimes.
