Armenian ombudsman briefs Congressman Schiff on situation in Syunik

At an event organized by the Armenian National Committee of America – Western Region (ANCA-WR), Armenia’s Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan told US Congressman Adam Schiff that Azerbaijan’s armed attacks near the villages of the Republic of Armenia, the blocking of roads with gross human rights violations lack legal grounds. The events was also attended by ANCA-WR Chair Nora Hovsepian, Interim Executive Director Verginie Toulumian and others.
Tatoyan briefed the Congressman on the November 16, 2021 Azeri invasion of Armenia’s sovereign territory in Syunik, which was accompanied by attacks by Azerbaijani forces in the immediate vicinity of civilian settlements, endangering the rights and lives of civilians.
