19.11.2021 | 12:40Unfortunately, today’s meeting is taking place in a tense situation for Armenia, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today when addressing the enlarged meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan.
“Just like a year ago, when the Intergovernmental Council was meeting here, so now Armenia is facing serious challenges that threaten its security,” he said. He said our region has become a source of new tension, as a result of which there have been human losses.
“Azerbaijan is responsible for this, whose military provocations are aimed at undermining our territorial integrity and derailing of the of November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021 trilateral declarations,” he said.
He said for almost two years now, the whole world, including the EEU, has been facing global economic and social challenges caused by the coronavirus. He noted that the restrictions on movement had a negative impact on the economies of the EEU countries. Pashinyan said steps have been taken to develop trade and economic relations with the EEU member states in the current situation.
“In this regard, I would like to note that in 2021 Armenia has already recorded a stable development in trade and economic relations with the EEU member states,” he concluded.
