The statement came from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo ։an at a news conference following talks with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in Ankara. He said the topic is “sensitive for Russia and Turkey.”
According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, during a meeting between the Russian and Turkish presidents in Sochi in September, the sides discussed possible military cooperation, as well as the possibility of producing some S-400 components in Turkey.
It’s noteworthy that the US has imposed sanctions on Turkey over the purchase of these Russian complexes.
