In 2020 390 citizens received free medical care under the acute ischemic brain stroke treatment program and 2.266 citizens under the emergency heart surgery program.
The RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan said this at the session of the NA Committee on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs, presenting a part of the report on the process of implementation and results of the RA Government’s 2020 program.
“In 2020, 390 citizens received medical treatment within the framework of the thrombolytic treatment of acute ischemic brain stroke and mechanical thrombectomy program. This is one of our important programs, the implementation of which started in 2018 and expanded in 2019, “Avanesyan said.
According to her, due to this program, those 390 citizens received full treatment, fully recovered, and not only their lives were saved, but also they avoided further complications of disability.
