Armenian ambassador, UK minister disucss further cooperation

Armenian Ambassador to UK Varuzhan Nersesyan met with the UK’s Minister for European Affairs Wendy Morton, Armenian Embassy in the UK has said.
Varuzhan Nersesyan and Wendy Morton discussed the possibility of a formal signing of the Armenia-UK bilateral agreement, which will replace the Armenia-EU Comprehensive Extended Partnership Agreement (WIPO), in the near future, taking into account the fact that the finalization process is in the final stage. At the request of the Minister, the Ambassador presented the regional developments, presenting the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, the ongoing aggressive actions by Azerbaijan, encroachments of the Armenian sovereign territory, the presence of prisoners of war in Baku in violation of all humanitarian and moral norms. The need to resume the negotiation process under the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs was also discussed.
