Opposition MP attends NA session for first time after has was released on bail

26.10.2021 | 14:27At today’s session of the National Assembly, which started on October 26, the opposition deputies greeted with applause MP Artur Sargsyan of the Armenia faction, who is attending parliament session for the first time after his release from detention.
Sargsyan was released on October 14 by the decision of the Syunik Court of General Jurisdiction on a 20 million dram (about US 41,000) bail.
Before starting his duties, Sargsyan took the oath in accordance with the established procedure.
“For the sake of achieving national goals, strengthening the homeland and prosperity, I swear to fulfill my obligations to the people in good faith, to observe the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, the laws, to promote the sovereignty and interests of the Republic of Armenia, to do everything to preserve civic solidarity, national and universal values.” Sargsyan.
