Azerbaijani president to visit Turkey for first time after second Artsakh war

“The presidents of our countries will meet for the third time this year on October 26, in Karabakh, and for the fourth time – on November 12 in Istanbul,” the ambassador wrote on his Twitter account.
Aliyev is paying his first visit to Turkey after the second Artsakh war. Before that, tomorrow Turkish President Erdogan will take part in the opening ceremony of the airport in the occupied Varanda of Artsakh.
This is Erdogan’s third visit to Azerbaijan after the 44-day Artsakh war. In December last year, he took part in a military parade in Baku and celebrated the victory of Armenia against Artsakh. In June 2021, he visited the occupied city of Shushi in Artsakh, where he signed the Shushi Declaration with Aliyev.
Aliyev has not paid any foreign visits since 2020. In 2021 he only visited Russia ․ On January 11, he participated in a trilateral meeting with the leaders of Armenia and Russia in Moscow. The President of Azerbaijan paid another visit to Moscow on July 20 and met with Russian President Putin.
