Water rate to increase from January 1

PSRC Chairman Garegin Baghramyan told journalists today that water rates may increase from January to become 200 drams (about $0.4) per cubic meter from today’s 180 drams.
“We are discussing a proposal to have a 10-year stable pricing policy,” he said “I would like to remind you that the base price won by the 2016 tender for 2022 was already 214 drams. We are now taking 214 drams and adding those adjustment coefficients to it.”
The current 180 AMD rate will be valid for socially insecure consumers, Baghramyan said.
