Baku does not rule out the possibility of a new meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers to discuss bilateral relations, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Leyla Adbullayeva has said, local media reported.

“We consider it useful to discuss issues related to the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations in the post-conflict phase. Earlier, the foreign ministers of the two countries met in New York. We do not rule out holding such a meeting in the future,” Abdullayeva said. She noted that Azerbaijan is in favor of resolving the issues through negotiations. Abdullayeva also said that at present attention should be paid to the implementation of the points of the joint statements of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia. She added that the key issues that require special attention are the opening of communications, as well as the delimitation of borders.

Yesterday, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that in New York they agreed to meet again with the Azerbaijani FM through the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.
