According to the information obtained by Factor.am, the National Security Service is currently conducting a search in the apartment of the Deputy Chief of General Staff Stepan Galstyan. According to our source, Galstyan has been arrested.

On September 29, the National Security Service searched the apartments of Deputy Chief of General Staff Stepan Galstyan, former Chief of Military Aviation Avetik Muradyan and former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan, who was later arrested. Tonoyan, who held the position of Minister of Defense between 2018 and 2020, and David Galstyan, the CEO of a company supplying arms and ammunition to the Armenian Armed Forces, are accused of embezzling an equivalent of 4.7 million US dollars. Both were detained for two months under a Yerevan court ruling today.
