Azerbaijan has signed agreements with Eti Bkir A.S. and Artvin Maden A.S companies on the exploration, development and exploitation of mines in the occupied Karvachar region of Artsakh, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikhail Jabarov said in a Fecebook post, Azerbaijani media reported.

He also expressed hope that such a step would play an important role not only in the development of promising mines, but also in accelerating the economic integration of the region.

On May 29, Azerbaijani President Aliyev signed a decree on the study, exploration, development and exploitation of the Elbeydash, Agduzdagh and Gashgachay mines in the occupied Karvachar region of Artsakh. According to the decree, the Gashgachay mine was given to the Turkish Eti Bakır A.Ş company for a period of 30 years, and the Elbeydash and Agduzdag mines to the Turkish Artvin Maden A.Ş company. These Turkish companies belong to Turkish President Erdogan’s close business partners.
