EU ready to assist decrease of tension on Armenian-Azerbaijani border

15.09.2021 | 17:05EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Toivo Klaar, has summed up his visit to Armenia, ascribing importance to decrease of tension on Armenian-Azerbaijani border. He made a post on his Twitter page regarding this: ”Ending a good visit to Armenia after two days of intensive meetings. A visit to Yeraskh gave a good impression of how close Armenian and Azerbaijani military positions often are. It is important to reduce tensions on the border to contribute to a better climate for negotiations. EU is ready to support,” Klaar wrote.
During his visit to Armenia the EU official met Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. Klaar is also going to visit Azerbaijan.
