Another 76 hero servicemen or their families receive compensation – Servicemen Insurance Fund
The number of beneficiaries of the fund has changed. The 76 hero servicemen who became disabled or the families of those killed in the war unleashed by the enemy on September 27 received compensation, bringing the number of the beneficiaries to 4392, the Servicemen Insurance Fund said. Only 416 of them were the Fund’s before the 2020 war.
The Fund was established to provide stable, equal insurance compensations to the soldiers who were killed, are missing or were given 1st and 2nd degree of disability while defending the borders of the homeland. The Fund’s resources are generated from mandatory monthly payments of persons receiving income in Armenia and Artsakh, as well as from voluntary donations received from the Diaspora.
