Armenia, Kyrgyzstan to boost economic ties

19.08.2021 | 14:29Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan arrived in Kyrgyzstan on August 19 to attend in the regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, the government’s press service reported. His visit started with a meeting with Kyrgyz President Sadir Japarov.
The leaders expressed satisfaction with the high level of political dialogue and reaffirmed the readiness to develop cooperation. Both sides exchanged high-level official reciprocal visits, intensification of inter-parliamentary partnership. The parties agreed that there is an unrealized potential for trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, and that a new impetus should be given to economic ties. In this context, the holding of the sitting of the Armenian-Kyrgyz intergovernmental commission scheduled for this fall was discussed.
