Armenian units have thwarted an attempt by Azeri forces to advance into Armenian territory in Gegharkunik province, using a drone , Ministry of Defense has said in a statement.

Earlier, on July 30, an Azerbaijani Aerostar drone was downed near Vardenis, Gegharkunik province, and on July 28, military operations were launched from Sotk to Verin Shorzha on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The Armenian military lost three servicemen, four others were wounded. A ceasefire was established at 10:40 on July 28, which, however, is regularly violated by the Azerbaijani side.
