A new batch – 50,400 doses – of AstraZeneca vaccine against COVID-19 has been imported to Armenia, the Ministry of Health said in a report.

The vaccine was purchased under the COVAX FACILITY initiative. It is intended for vaccination against COVID-19 in individuals 18 years of age and older. This vaccine is authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO) for emergency use. Vaccine efficacy and safety data meet WHO standards.
