29.07.2021 | 16:18At its July 29 meeting, the government made amendments to the 2021 budget.
The issue was raised by Acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan for uninterrupted supply of vaccines for the prevention of coronavirus infection.
“Armenia can get a vaccine against Covid-19 within the framework of the agreement with Covax, but it is intended for only 10% of the population. To achieve the rest of our targets, vaccines are available through bilateral agreements. We do our best to make donated vaccines available to Armenia. Within the framework of this decision, it is planned to purchase 500,000 doses of vaccine produced by the Chinese Sinopharm and the German Pfizer companies. The funds directed for this purpose will make 3.459 billion drams,”Avanesyan said.
