Armenian agrees to Russian-brokered ceasefire

Armenia has accepted Russian mediation and agreed to cease fire in Gegharkunik border, Armenian Defense Ministry told Factor.am. It is reported that Azerbaijan too has agreed to cease fire. The cross-border shooting began on July 28, at around 3:40 a.m. after Azerbaijani troops, violating the ceasefire, opened fire in the north-eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. As of 10:30 a.m., the enemy was firing in the direction of six villages of Gegharkunik Province.
Armenia has reported three deaths, three others were wounded and one serviceman is missing.
