Armenian government to spend 4.3 billion AMD on renovation of Gyumri

Under the Local Economy and Infrastructure Development program implemented by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and financed by the Armenian and the World Bank, new large investments are expected in Gyumri, Acting TAI Minister Suren Papikyan said in a Facebook post.
He said works are underway to improve Gyumri and strengthen the tourism potential of the “cultural capital”. The total cost of all the renovation will amount 4.3 billion AMD (about $8.8 million), he said in the post.
