21.06.2021 | 19:45Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told a briefing following a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Mukhtar Tleuberdi today that some provisions of the November 9 trilateral ceasefire statement in Nagorno Karabakh are being implemented and some of them are being delayed, Azerbaijani media reported.
“I have informed my Kazakh counterpart about the need for hundreds of thousands of displaced people to return to their lands. We also discussed possible cooperation in that direction,” Bayramov said. He once again spoke about the Azeri thesis related to the minefields, talking about the victims of the explosion in the occupied territories of Artsakh. “After the November 10, 2020 statement, 28 people were killed and more than 120 were injured in mine explosions. The situation is complicated by the fact that Armenia does not provide maps of minefields. Recently, with the participation of international mediators, Armenia handed over the maps of the mined areas of Aghdam. The number of mines in one region alone is 97,000, which speaks of the degree of danger of mines,” Bayramov said.
Baku does not fulfill the provisions of the trilateral statement, in particular, does not release the Armenian captives and hostages held in Azerbaijan. By initiating fake criminal cases against them, it is trying to prevent the return of the captives to Armenia.
