The Criminal Court of Appeal released the former Chief of Staff of the RA National assembly Ara Saghatelyan. According to lawyer Mihran Poghosyan, the judge released Saghatelyan from custody based on the lack of reasonable suspicion.
It should be reminded that he was arrested within the framework of the case of fake Facebook user “Gagik Soghomonyan”.
Saghatelyan was charged under Articles 226.2 of the RA Criminal Code (inciting national, racial or religious hostility by an organized group), 226.2 (public calls for violence by an organized group, public justification or propaganda of violence), and Article 307.4 (violation of the rules of publication or dissemination of information during the legal regime of martial law).
