Major General Hikmet Hasanov, Commander of the First Army Corps of the country’s Armed Forces, has been arrested in Azerbaijan. This news has been spread and is actively discussed in the Azerbaijani domain of social networks. Hasanov was reportedly arrested on Friday, but the Azerbaijani authorities have not yet officially confirmed this. It should be noted that several generals have been arrested in Azerbaijan recently. In particular, the commander of the 4th Army Corps, the national hero of Azerbaijan Rovshan Akbarov, the commander of the 3rd Army Corps Khagani Jabrayilov, as well as former heads of the Department of National Security, Generals Movlan Shikhali and Nizami Shirinov were arrested earlier.
