NSS launches criminal case in connection with National Assembly brawl

NSS Investigation Department has launched a criminal case under Article 258, Part 3, Clause 1 of the Armenian Criminal Code (violence combined with hooliganism committed by a group of persons or by an organized group) in connection with the brawl that took place in the National Assembly on December 7, lawyer Benik Galstyan wrote on his Facebook page.
The incident took place in the National Assembly between the aides of the MPs from the ruling Civil Contract party and those of the opposition.
Opposition MP Ishkhan Saghatelyan’s aide Syune Gevorgyan told reporters that in the office of NA Vice Speaker Ruben Rubinyan, CC party MPs Hrachya Hakobyan, Vahagn Aleksanyan and several other people beat aides of three ARF MPs.
