Armenia’s National Security Service today issued a statement in regard with the high treason case it is investigating.

The statement says that the investigation has revealed that while on a trip in Istanbul, Turkey, two Armenian citizens, who were unemployed and did not have a permanent source of income, were recruited by Azerbaijani intelligence, and agreed to spy by collecting information containing state and official secrets and pass it over to Azerbaijani intelligence service.

The statement says that the investigation is over and the case has been submitted to prosecutors for further processing.
