The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable, Ministry of Defense told Factor.am. Hakob Avetyan, the head Geghamasar, told us yesterday that at least one Armenian soldier was wounded in the fighting, but the Ministry of Defense denied this information.

On November 22, a fighting erupted on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. At around 6:10 pm, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from different caliber firearms at the the Armenian positions near the village of Norabak, Gegharkunik province. Private Suren Safaryan was killed. The situation relatively stabilized at around 19:30.

On November 16, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces launched a large-scale attack at Armenia’s eastern border, using artillery, armored vehicles and firearms of different calibers. Armenian units took adequate actions. According to the latest data published by the Ministry of Defense, six Armenian servicemen were killed, 13 captured, and some 24 still missing. The enemy has up to 70 dead and wounded servicemen, as well as significant losses of military equipment, in particular 4 BTR armored personnel carrier, one Sandcat armored vehicle, five trucks .
