05.11.2021 | 15:15Turkey and Azerbaijan have not been invited to US President Joe Biden’s Democracy Summit, according to a Politico report.
The report said President Biden’s summit for democracy is a few weeks away. Biden’s aides are still working on the agenda for the December 9-10 online summit, and much of their work is kept secret. The list of invited countries has not been published yet, but Politico has managed to find out some details. According to the presented list, Azerbaijan and Turkey are not among the invited countries, while Armenia and Georgia are mentioned. Russia is also missing from the list.
“Some countries, such as Turkey and Hungary, have not been invited because their leaders have been undermining their democratic systems for years,” the report said.
