Peskov: Putin will tell US president about Moscow’s actions on climate change at their meeting

Russian President Vladimir Putin will tell US President Joe Biden about Moscow’s actions on climate change at their upcoming meeting, Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian president, has told reporters.
“I am convinced that when the next meeting of the two presidents takes place, I think President Putin will have a great opportunity to tell President Biden about what we are doing on climate issues,” Peskov said.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden, speaking at a news conference at the COP26 summit, slammed Russia and China for not showing up for the COP26 conference and the G20 summit in Rome. In addition, Biden pointed to Moscow’s “silence” in the fight against climate change.
