Courts reject lawsuits filed against Prosecutor General’s Office on cases of confiscation of illegal property

The Prosecutor General’s Office said in a statement, in parts:
“We consider it necessary to inform that the representative of Narek and Ani Sargsyans has submitted complaints to the courts of first instance of the Armenian Administrative and Yerevan city on the legality of making decisions on initiating an investigation.
The Administrative Court in 2021 On September 22, 2012, the plaintiff Narek Sargsyan was denied the appeal on the grounds that the decision to initiate an investigation could not be the subject of a court hearing.
The Administrative Court redirected the consideration of Ani Sargsyan’s complaint to the Court of First Instance of the city of Yerevan, on the grounds that Ani Sargsyan’s claim is not within the jurisdiction of the RA Administrative Court.”
