Sasun Khachatryan appointed head of Anti-Corruption Committee
Sasun Khachatryan has been appointed chairman of the newly established Anti-Corruption Committee. The issue was included in the agenda of the Government meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Suren Papikyan.
Kchachatryan was among three candidates for the position to head this t body tasked to investigate f corruption crimes.
In 2019, the Government started to create a new, united body to fight corruption. The Anti-Corruption Committee should focus only on the investigation of corruption crimes, which it will carry out operative-investigative activities.
Sasun Khachatryan was appointed head of the Special Investigations Service on June 11, 2018.
