Demining was carried out in Karmir Shuka settlement․ 400 explosive devices were neutralized

The personnel of the humanitarian demining detachment of the Russian peacekeeping troops carried out cleanings from explosive objects in the area of Karmir Shuka settlement of Martuni region, the RF Ministry of Defense reports. During the demining, about 400 explosive objects were neutralized by Russian deminers.
These objects and the unexploded ordnance are transported and destroyed in specially equipped shooting ranges. Ammunition that cannot be evacuated is destroyed on the spot, ensuring all the necessary safety rules.
1.419 hectares, 443 km of roads, 1.361 buildings, including 30 objects of social significance have been cleared of unexploded ordnance since November 23rd, 2020. A total of 24.453 explosive devices have been found and demined.
